Video: Jay-Z – Brooklyn Go Hard f/ Santogold

You’ve heard the song, now see the video, which is ridiculous in its own right. Evan Roth of Graffite Search Labs crafted this amazing video featuring portraits made using only letters, “typographic illustration,” he calls it.

“Last week I was contacted to make a video for a new Kanye West produced Jay-Z song for RED & the Global Fund to Fight AIDS in Africa. It launched today (WorldAIDS Day) at red.msn.com. And while I’m happy to be able to help the cause I’m also more than a little bit excited about getting a chance to make something for the likes of Jay-Z and Kanye. I’ve been turning down client requests to use Typographic Illustration for 5 years in hopes that one day the phone would ring and it would be Hova.”- Evan Roth

This one is definitely sneaking onto the End of the Year awards. I can’t believe this is only going to be on the Notorious soundtrack and not The Blueprint 3, this song blows “Jocking Jay-Z” out of the water! Damn, this is a Kanye banger, too!

Label of the Hour Companion Piece: No Limit Album Covers

The episode is recorded and will be out tomorrow, but in the meantime, you can feast your eyes on the wonderfulness that is No Limit Records album covers. My personal favorites are the ones with Young Bleed (what exactly is he carrying under his arm?), or Master Ps Game Face (come on, that’s just terrible!), oh no wait, Skull Dugrey (the dog has bling in its eye), and of course, the ABSOLUTE CLASSIC (*ta da*) is Big Bear’s Doing Thangs (just look at his logo drip that honey!).

As for tomorrow’s to be released episode, brace yourself folks, this one will be a little different from what you’re used to.
