Every so often I want to update you folks on what is going on with this blog and the podcast. Here goes:

- Just got done recording Episode 58 with Rec, Source, and Jerome. It’s an extra schlong episode, which means there is an extra microphone and about three more tracks than usual. Look for it on Tuesday.

- I have two segments debuting this weekend. A weekly editorial/commentary piece where I write an article about whatever I feel like, and the music video of the week. I know I said I wanted to have a top 25 countdown but none of us are too knowledgeable to get that poppin’.

- This blog might seem real hip hop-centric right now, but really, it won’t be. The is the J. Pitts Show blog and hip hop does not encompass my whole life. When I originally started the podcast, I wanted to have it be more talk oriented, with a little bit of music featured. Somewhere along the line it became the show it is now. Anyways, I am a real scatterbrain that is heavy into things like comics, wrestling, basketball, clothing and porn. I am just getting into the groove of things here, be on the lookout for new she-ut.

- For those going to Scribble Jam: DJ Nice Rec and I are in the preliminary stages of planning out a mix cd to give away at the festival in October. If you’re a listener of the show, there won’t be too much new stuff for you to peep, the point of the cd is to gain new listenership.

- Can anyone put me onto any dope indie rock and electronica blogs? I am trying to broaden my horizons, but it is proving difficult. I just peeped the new Beck which I liked. I also peeped Air France – No Way Down which was okay and Grizzly Bear – Friend which I need to listen to again before I give my full opinion.
