The folks at the Pittsburgh City Paper were kind enough to feature us in their Local Vibe section of this weeks edition. Shout out to Andy Mulkerin.
The first part of our Best of the Aughts episodes will be released tomorrow (6/14).

The crew called Diggin’ in the Crates, usually shortened up to just D.I.T.C., have been holding it down for years. DJ Nice Rec has compiled their best songs and mixed them into a nice hour long set accompanied by our banter which is some of the silliest yet!

Murs’ latest album, Murs for President dropped awhile ago. Judging from the non-existent reception this album got, I am assuming he will be dropped from Warner Bros. sometime in the near future. Murs for President was a trash album, by the way.

Keith Murray is dope. I remember back in the day people would clown his “philosophical, logical, ontorlogical…” flow, but I always thought it was pretty dope. He is definitely an original.
It’s crazy to me that Keith Murray is the one with the biggest rap sheet out of that clique. The old saying goes, “watch out for the little guy, he is the most dangerous one.” I guess that applied to Keith.
Episode 75: Crew of the Hour – Def Squad episode drops tomorrow.
Enjoy.
I made a promise to myself to try to educate myself on music videos this year. So far so good. Here are the videos of one, Reggie Noble. This man needs to have a DVD with all of his videos compiled on it, because he has one of the better bodies of work for a hip hop artist.

That’s an old school pic right there…
What’s good everyone?
We took a week off after the best of 2008 episode so that we could give ourselves some rest after putting out 3 episodes in two weeks, and also to give Nice Rec more time to complete our next episode: Crew of the Hour – Def Squad. We’ll be recording Saturday, and plan to release the episode on Tuesday or Wednesday, as usual.
We’re also going to check out Notorious tomorrow. I initially had very low expectations for this film, but it’s actually getting pretty good reviews. Roger Ebert even gave it 3 out of 4 stars!
In the meantime, check out this interview with DMX from jail. Shout out to Miss Info.
J. Pitts is a man of many different and diverse pursuits. As such, I have decided to give my thoughts on the best of 2008 in topics outside of hip hop (well, except for the music videos below).
Peep game.
