The crew called Diggin’ in the Crates, usually shortened up to just D.I.T.C., have been holding it down for years. DJ Nice Rec has compiled their best songs and mixed them into a nice hour long set accompanied by our banter which is some of the silliest yet!

Hadn’t checked in awhile so I thought I’d give y’all an update.
First off, check the above video, a preview snippet of Jay Electronica’s “Dear Moleskine,” because that track sounds like it will be downright NASTY. Just Blaze is one of the best game-I just wonder why he hasn’t dropped an album full of his own production yet?
Tonight, we are recording Episode 95: Group of the Hour - Atmosphere. Yessir, a full hour of Sluggo, Ant and various guests for the people. Then next week, we’ll be back for a regular episode and every week until we hit that magical 100.
Stay tuned, we got that good stuff.
R.I.P. Baatin of Slum Village
“Fuck this rap shit, I listen to classical…”
Episode 100 is just around the corner - who would’ve thought we would have made it this far? I surely didn’t.
To celebrate, episode 100 will be a best of/greatest hits ordeal highlighting the best and the worst of the previous 99 episodes. We are asking you, the listener, to name some of your favorite J. Pitts Show moments. I have already kicked things off in this thread on the forum, but if you’re too lazy to signup, you can always leave a comment at the bottom of this post. Or if you’re a private person, hit me with an e-mail at jdotpitts at gmail dot com!
Only SEVEN more to go! Wow!
We just finished recording episode 9o - Group of the Hour: Beastie Boys. It’s a pretty inclusive episode, long-time fans won’t be disappointed. I am not all too well versed on the Beastie Boys myself, so hearing a joint like Flute Loop for the first time was dope! Be on the lookout for the episode come Tuesday/Wednesday.
Once that’s done, we are entering the home stretch for the milestone episode of Episode 100, which will be an all-clips show featuring some of the highlights in the first 99 episodes of the show. What would YOU the listener like to hear? Is there a Jerome or Slim Wilkins joke you’d love to be displayed in all its glory? I am currently tasked with going through all 90 episodes, and believe me, it’s quite a task! For suggestions, you can get at us through e-mail, the addresses are listed on your right, or you can check out the forum!
Speaking of the forum, I just completed a much needed cleansing and upgrade. The downside is that I may have deleted some forum accounts, if you think that you should be on the forum, just re-apply and I’ll get you accepted.

I am pretty sure GLC’s blog crashed after he posted this video. Yes, it’s late but isn’t it a much welcomed surprise?
Here goes a video off of Jake-One’s White Van Music “Home,” featuring Vitamin D, Maleak B, and Ish from Digable Planets.
Don’t worry, we got an episode coming later this week.
Spotted at When They Reminisce
Aw shit, it’s been awhile since I’ve heard some new Cage. Here is the first video from his new album Depart from Me, directed by Shia LeBouf. Wasn’t this guy supposed to make a biopic about his life?

An hour and some change dedicated to Tupac Amaru Shakur. Nice Rec gives the man his just due on this one. Come quick see…
