Our first show actually recorded in 2009, here is a full hours worth of the Funk Doctor Spock, Green Eyed Bandit, and the Vocabulist-otherwise known as Redman, Erick Sermon and Keith Murray. There is also quite a bit of Parrish Smith on the episode too because he was one half of a group called EPMD.

The episode you always wanted to hear, you just don’t know it yet. A full of hour from the likes of the Miller Brothers (Master P, C-Murder, and Silkk the Shocker) as well as labelmates Mystikal (of course), Mac, Soulja Slim, Mia X, and yes, the Lil’ Soldiers. Listen with an open mind, and respect the tank!

Madlib the Bad Kid. Yeah, you know what it is. We hit you with the more rapper-centric episode last week, this week is more instrumental oriented. You’ve got a beautiful souuuul!

Madlib the Bad Kid. The man behind the boards of Madvililany, the Lootpacks’ Soundpieces: Da Antidote, Dudley Perkins Expressions and countless others. There are very few producers in music, let alone hip hop with a more dense catalog. Oh and he raps, too.
Part 1 features only songs with people spitting over them. Part 2 will be all instrumental. Look for that next week.

Say what you want about the man’s private life, but R. Kelly has the jams. If I had to pick one musical artist responsible for children born after the year 1993, he would be it. Peep the episode and find out why!
P.S. Also, if I had to pick one musical artist responsible with having sex with children born… Ah, you know the punchline!

You may not have heard the name, but this Vancouver bred MC has been putting it down for a nice while. Listen and be surprised.

“I’m taking it back come follow me. On a journey to see some for real emcees…”
The Boot Camp Clik has been lingering in the depths of underground hip hop for the better part of fifteen years. Raw, diverse, with just a tinge of reggae lifted flows, these brothers from Bucktown are the focus of our fortieth episode. Listen up, especially because we may not be hearing from the Rockness Monster for a very looooooong time.

He has been called “the producers’ producer. J. Dilla is one of the most talented and hardest working producers in hip hop’s history. Having worked with everyone from Pharcyde to MF Doom to Janet Jackson, Dilla’s catalog is as diverse as it is quality. Join us as we dedicate a whole hour to the man whose mother calls him James.
There are too many tracks played on this episode, so you’re on your own for the playlist. This is becoming a trend.
The best producer on the mic.
